I received my MFA in creative writing from Chatham University, and have spent the time since traveling and writing about the South. In 2011 I moved to Asheville and began volunteering at the Smith McDowell House with the Western North Carolina Historical Association. It was there that I first learned about Asheville’s history and deep roots in tourism, and my interest never waned – I just keep researching, exploring and discovering. My first book – Historical Inns of Asheville, came out in 2013. I hope you enjoy this blog! And please send me a note if you have anything to add –
